Like many others, I began my career feeling uncertain about my true purpose in life. I struggled to find not only direction, but also a deeper sense of meaning. Over time, I’ve come to understand that meaning is not a fixed destination, but an ongoing journey that evolves with each stage of life. Although I always knew I wanted to help others, I initially wasn’t sure which path would best align with my values. Early in my journey, I found myself torn between pursuing my childhood dream of becoming a firefighter and continuing my studies in psychology to explore emotional healing and self-understanding. After completing both my undergraduate degree in Psychology and the Pre-Service Firefighter program, I was still seeking clarity.
I began my professional journey as a Behavioural Therapist, supporting children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder as they navigated daily living. Working alongside these incredible individuals as they pursued their personal goals allowed me to witness firsthand the power of growth and resilience. At the same time, I expanded my medical experience as a Medical First Responder with St. John Ambulance. Through these experiences, I developed a profound appreciation for both the medical and psychotherapeutic fields, recognizing the importance of addressing the mind–body connection in fostering overall well-being. This perspective continues to guide my therapeutic approach, emphasizing the integration of holistic practices and cultural awareness.
My passion for holistic healing inspired me to continue my education in psychotherapy. My work as a Behavioural Therapist deepened my interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, helping them cultivate meaning and self-acceptance. Meanwhile, my experience as a Medical Responder strengthened my dedication to helping people recover from trauma and build resilience. I believe that every experience, no matter how challenging, holds the potential to contribute to healing and growth.
In my practice, I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, incorporating elements of mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural, dialectical-behavioural, solution-focused, narrative, parts work, and EMDR techniques. These evidence-based tools are tailored to your unique goals and are designed to support personal growth while exploring the connections between your past and present. Whether you’re facing life transitions, loss, emotional dysregulation, internal conflict, or simply feeling stuck, we will work collaboratively and at your pace to foster purposeful, lasting change.
