Most of us want abundance, we want it to fall out of the sky and into our laps. Some of us envy abundance, we have sentenced ourselves to a lifetime without it only allowing ourselves a glimpse of it through the joy we see in others.
Abundance is not something we must create, it simply is. We must recognize our own self limiting thoughts as being the barrier to wealth.
Our external world is a reflection of our internal state. When we switch to an abundance mindset everything shifts. All of nature, the trees, the birds, the wind and ocean are abundant just as we are. We have abundance within us, it is the scarcity of our mindset that diminishes our true value.
Our inherent fear that there isn’t enough to go around or that money doesn’t grow on trees leaves us feeling unworthy, not good enough, mourning the loss of our half empty glass or feeling the need to pull others down with us. Sharing our secrets, pain or even joy is not something we do easily. It makes us fear giving away what little we have. We experience a sense of urgency and panic as though somehow we might be overtaken in the race.
Self compassion releases us from being imprisoned by our own minds. We find that we can share and learn from one another and still go to bed whole at night. Stepping in to abundance allows us to know the true value of wealth.
